Re: help me get going 85 force

Hi, Marco. Replace the water pump impeller. Completely purge your fuel system and clean everything: tank, hoses, primer bulb, fuel pump and carbs.

Remove the spark plugs. Spray a bit of WD-40 into each cylinder. Turn it through by hand a few times. Clean and gap (or replace) your spark plugs.

Try the starter, plugs out. Ensure that each plug is firing. Test compression on all cylinders; you should have over 100# on each, and less than 15# difference between the high and low compression cylinders.

If everything passes to this point, mix up some 50:1 fuel with FRESH, 87 octane, lead and alcohol free gasoline and Wal-Mart Super Tech outboard oil. Pump the carbs full with the primer bulb, engage the choke and crank her up.

If you haven't found it yet, this is where you may find a reason that the boat was put up for years and then sold cheap. OR, you may find that you got a great deal. Hope it's the latter.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)
