Spark Plug Gap?

can anyone tell me the recommended spark plug gap for a 1990 Force 150HP? its a 5 cylinder, and i'm putting in a set of NGK BUHX plugs.

come on, i know someone out there has a force manual??? i just need the recommended gapping for the plugs on a 150...please help!

Ray, I don't have a manual. I'm only guessing If it is points type ignition, then .035 would be close. It it is electronic ignition the .045 would be closer. Good Luck.

Funny thing about spark plug gap...I checked the gap on cars, boats and motorcycles and never, I mean never did I encounter a plug that needed to be gapped. I'll probably catch some flack for this, but just get the proper plugs for the motor. You will be good to go.

thanks for the help, guys... one of these days i'm gonna break down and buy a manual...its amazing how little info is available online for force engine specs. i figured it to be somewhere in that neighborhood, but wanted to make sure. thanks again

I had to check the post date to make sure this wasn't a april fools joke........BUHX is a surface gap plug...no air gap to adjust! LOL....

yes, after removal of the old plugs last night, i realized just that...wonder if the auto parts store will refund for the $2.99 gapping tool? haha...was kinda ashamed to even come back this morning to post the news, and i see that someone beat me to it... :eek: )

Ray, dont be embarrassed...the older I get, the more I realize most of us [me included] are a bunch of ****ups that look good only when you catch us on a good day....enjoy the company!
