Ok what is this part, I have a 83 chrysler 30hp outboard, It has somthing to do with the electrical. All the electric wires go to it, it is a square box it has a circut board inside It was packed full of insulation or somthing but the thing is totally rotted away it is about 3inch x3inch it attaches to a metal plate Sorry for the poor knoledge I have here about the parts help please :confused: :confused:

Sounds like power pack .Regardless of that it seems by description of condition it will need replacing assuming rest of motor assy is in tact.

Thanks ob the motor is in great shape exept for that one part I havnt gotten the repair manual yet, and am getting ansy to get it running.Any suggestions on where I might get this part.Im in ohio.

Don't have a clue what dealer locally can get it for you as I am in Texas , however there are several outboard links to obtain parts online.type keyword chrysler outboard parts or chrysler outboard powerpacks. good luck with motor

Devinci, checkout boatpartstore com. They list your powerpack for around 190.00. part no 116-9301 .Also shows pictur of unit so you can verify if leads look the same before ordering.says fits 78-83 models.This should give you a start

yes .Don't hold me to it but i think it's short for coil distribution box.Thats what power pack does.delivers to ignition coils.
