Have you considered a higher-tech bow-lifting prop???

Re: Lots of tab questions (Tabman II )

I have tried a bunch of props with no luck.
Paulie I am not worried about the speed loss if that is what it takes. These boats tend to run a lot higher then mine is now. With big bows in the tabs (after not using them) it has to have something to do with it. The blueprinting thing I will have to look into. Sorry so short this morning but I am out the door to got to work. Have to catch back up tonight.
PS at the moment I can do anything until the picture above is fixed.

Good morning all,

Sorry for such a long delay in answering your questions concerning your situation, but the boating season is in which has everyone getting their vessel ready to go!

f_inscreenname, from I have read here and seen in your photos the 18 x 9's are "bowed", which can be cause by a few different issues. Tabs too small for the job, vessel is VERY stern heavy &/or the vessel is too fast for their size. The last one I feel is the reason your 18 x 9's have bowed, but might not be the only factor. Honestly, your vessel should be running a set of our ST9 Sport Tabs (black powder coated with 1" Up Fins on the sides), which are designed with performance vessels in mind (40 to 60 mph). Replacing your 18 x 9's with another isn't the answer, but replacing them with a set of 12 x 9's would be a better choice! As for the actuators, it seems the o-rings might have been damaged by cylinder walls after removing the Upper Hinge Spacer. If so, then only way to correct this is replacement of the cylinders & pistons with new ones. I will reply to you on the mail you have sent to me at trimtabs@earthlink.net, so watch your inbox today!

Sincerely,
MJ Thomas
Bennett Marine, Inc.
Client Services
954-427-1400

Tabbman has me fixed up in a flash. Bennett is the best company on the planet hands down! I knew I could depend on them and they came through with flying colors. If you buy from anywhere else then Bennett you are throwing your money away. Think about this. Will your tabs be under warranty 20 years from now no question asked? With not even a sales slip?
