I have a 1975 Chysler 90 hp and in Dec I took it out and it ran great no problems.I took the same boat boat out in late Jan and it was going good till I hit full thottle and it started to sputter, and then it died, Started it back up and did the same thing at full throttle so I limped it back to shore and put new fuel in and now it is real hard to start, I have to to open up the throttle almost Half way by hand to get it to start. Once I let off the throttle it dies again. Carbs were rebuilt in Aug of last year and this is the first problem I have had with motor.

Invader,

Does your fuel primer bulb remain hard?

Put some 50:1 mix in a spray bottle and squirt it in the carb throats while cranking it. If that helps, you have a fuel delivery problem.

Could be:

Fuel filter/screen.

Fuel pump.

Gummed up carbs.

Bad fuel.
