Re: '91 Force 90hp
There is a way to increase the throttle, but it depends on what controls you have on your boat. On a Comander 3000, you push in the center of the controls shift handle, where it pivots at the bottom. This disconnects the shifter and allows you to increase throttle.

On some controls, you pull the throttle handle inward, toward the drivers seat. Some have a lever that you raise.

Next time you are out, try running the engine with the cover off. You could have an exhaust leak, or a heat related issue, causing the coils to fail when hot.

Since the engine starts cold, I'm leaning toward a heat or ignition issue.
Since it doesn't stall at full throttle, fuel delivery should be ok.

Full throttle rpm's are low, they should be 4900-5250.
This could be because of the wrong size prop, or because you are missing on one cylinder. You would probably NOT be able to hear the miss.
I would check for spark on each cylinder when the engine is cold. Check again when engine is hot and you are experiencing problems.

How is accelleration from about 1500rpm to full throttle?

Does the boat struggle to get up on plane?

At this point, I wouldn't take the dealers word on the compression. He should have given you specific numbers for each cylinder. Preferrably 110# or higher, and not more than 15# difference between any two. See if you can get someone else to check it for you.

Keep the info coming, and we'll do our best to get you thru this.
