i accuired a old chrysler outboard. model 355hc serial 3461.35 i know its a 35 hp.and the year is somewhere between a 1966 and 1976.can any one narrow it down for me.the 35 hp's are broke down into year groups for parts,so i really need tobe alittle closer than 10 years.also i've visited many sites listed in the forums and i cant find a "hc" in any of the model no's.i know mercury now owns chrysler/force and spoke with local dealer about this.thier books only go back to 1970 and no "hc" in their books.so i can only assume its 1966-1969 year.

the motor dont need much but i may need parts in the future.how hard is parts to find for these beasts.i also have a 1971 mercury and many of those parts are no longer available,is chrsler the same way?

I have a factory-dealer year model guide. There are dozens of places on the web that deal Chrysler parts. I have not used any of them myself. Langs outboard and Fairwinds marina seem to be popular on this board. You might try Iboats too. Then there is Napa auto supply they have a marine parts catolog and can supply after market service parts.

Rsharer, go to this Chrysler website: www.chryslercrew.com and they will be able to help you answer most,if not all your Chrysler questions. I've been going to the site since 2001 and they have been real good. They have a thursday night chat with a good turnout each week. Hope this helps. --Derek
