Hello, I have a 15 Hp montgomery ward seaking by chrysler. Mod# VWB 52119B
I think it may be a 60's model beacause it was in that period where westbend was involved in production. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Alex

Reverse the first two numbers of the serial number and that is the year of the motor.

Hi Pike
Your motor is in fact a 1981 model. I don't know where this reversing ser#s thing came from, but it doesn't hold water. If this were true then a motor with model#VWB52119B starting with ser#24201 would be a 1942 model. The fact is this motor is a 1982 model.
Drowned Rat mybe you could fill me in on the story behind this.

alcan, It only works for the Montgomery Ward Sea King engines, regardless of who made it. Gale, Chrysler, or whoever. It doesn't work on the Chrysler engines sold under the Chrysler name, but it does work on the Sea King versions. :)
