I need to know how to wire this thing up while it's on a stand. I have no control box for it and before I buy one , I want to hear it run!<br />I can hook straight to the starter and it turns over and has a hell of a spark on both cyl.<br />It says US Marine on the plate and is a model # 507y8c. Serial# 1199.<br /><br />Thanks

There are two terminal strips on the port side of the engine, one close to the coil/cd pack (blue things mounted on a braket), and an 8 terminal strip.<br />It should run, just by hooking up water to the intake, fuel to the carb, and jumping the solenoid switch.<br />The trick is shutting it down.<br />One the 8-pin terminal block, there is a black wire with a yellow stripe. This is the year they changed the color code, so it may be a white wire on this block.But counting from the top lug down, it will be the third lug. kill it, by touching it to the blue (next to the bottom ternimal lug).
