55hp Chrysler outboard

Can anyone out there tell me what year the 55 hp Chrysler I have. The serial number is 6681 and the model number is 557HC. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks.

My book agrees with Eurolarva, it says 1971 with an alternator.

Thanks alcan and eurolarva. I will advertise it for sale as a 1971 Chrysler 55 hp then when I go to sell it. You guys don't know of anyone looking for a motor like that. It runs fine but doesn't have the control box with it for steering and throttle linkage.

Hello Rigby,<br /><br />I am located in Rochester, Minnesota, home of the world famous Mayo Clinic. Too bad we weren't half a world apart. The motor is in great shape and runs great. It is just missing the control box. If you are still interested I could post some pictures of it and see where it goes from there. Have a great weekend.
