I have a 1993 150HP dual exhaust Force. I need to replace the Seal on the lower unit shaft. To do this, I need to remove the ring retainer. After reading the sealoc manual, it mentions something about a ring retainer wrench (tool #: T-11275). I can't find any where to buy it or even a reference to it. Where can I find a ring retainer wrench?

Re: Force Shaft Seal

tkeppy, the retainer will be well and truly seized (thats ausy spelling). Option is drill out the old and replace with new, it will save time and effort, just drill the retainer in at least 3 places and gently break it apart. The tool will help instal the new ring. If you decide to try and undo using the tool, goodluck!<br />Cheers from downunder

Re: Force Shaft Seal

So after a long wait I have gotten around to replacing the seal. budgie you were in fact correct, the retaining ring is on there pretty tight. I have been trying to remove it but it seems that i will just have to break it off. I was unable to find any place that supplies this part. Any suggestions on where to find a new retaining ring?
