I have also been having a lot of problems getting the correct props for this motor. Most outfits ask you to select single or dual exhaust, mine has two holes in the mid housing but props for a Dual exhaust won't fit.
Any ideas?

Props for these motors are getting a little hard to find, but you can get them here on iboats. The gear cases come in several versions, 2 piece, small diameter, large diameter, etc.

The holes in the rear of the mid section are exhaust relief holes, which relieve the exhaust backpressure for easier starting, among other things.

The real exhaust is under water.
The single exhaust version exits from an exhaust snout which is located ABOVE the propeller. The exhaust can not exit thru the center of the prop, and there should be a rubber "cone" that is attached to the rear of the prop, on the prop shaft.

Here is an example:

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...7/33.png&inbr=1301&bnbr=14&bdesc=GEAR+HOUSING

The dual exhaust models have the exhaust exiting from the exhaust snout, AND from the center of the propeller.

Example:

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show...5/35.png&inbr=1329&bnbr=15&bdesc=GEAR+HOUSING

Here are links to the two different types of props in the iboats megamall:

http://www.boat-props.com/propeller...ower=85&year=1989&rotation=Standard&x=137&y=8

Might I suggest a hustler prop? You need a new thrust washer not sure the size and then an omc prop and a 15 tooth hub.
The hub is 1A I think.
Phil Prop shop set me up with this setup and the key is the thrust washer which is slighly thicker than the old washer. This moves the prop back enough to clear the edge of the gearcase.
The hub is the key here also. Once you have a hub that fits and a washer to move the prop out from the houseing your home free. Then you can get any hustler prop in the size and pitch you need. It cannot be raked to much though as you will hit the exhaust snout.

I will be ordering a new prop from iBoats but have to trick the system into the correct prop.

The only difference between mine and yours is yours will turn a 19 or 17 and mines a 17 or 15.
Higher number lower altitude.

Thats a 15 pitch hustler for an OMC drive but a force hub.

Thank you so much Roscoe and Adm. Realgun. Some great info from you guys! I've done some more research and am inclined to believe a 15 or 17 might be best in my case also. Should I stick with non-cupped props?

Realgun, since your rig is so similar, I was wondering about loading onto the trailer. My TNT will not hold any position in the tilt range when I try to load by driving onto the trailer under power. Have you experienced this?

The tilt range was never intended to hold the motor while loading. Might I suggest you not power load the boat.

Basically the escort trailer I have is a bunk. All I do is make sure the fenders are 1 inch out of the water and the boat glides into the trailer and stops about a foot from the bow stop.
I tilt the motor up once on the trailer and this pushes the rear into the bunks more.
Even in the wind which we have here, I have been able to glide on, buckle up, and crank a foot or 2 and go.
