I'm looking at a Luhrs 3420 Tournament. She seems to be in excellent shape. The asking price is far below market value after doing some comparibles. I know to get a survey before I do any thing but Luhrs isnt a popular boat in my area. Before I start to spend any money on this venture I would like to hear opinions from other Luhrs owners or boat experts.
It has twin 454 Crusaders, one just rebuilt recently and the other rebuilt two years ago.
The bridge is in excellent condition as is the interior. The boat looks to have been well cared for, of course looks can be deceiving.

if any one has any experience with these boats I would appreciate any comments.

Thnx.

If the survey comes back allright; do a good long sea-trial. Make sure you like the boat, it handles the way you expect, and does what you need. There are a few Luhrs around this area, and they look like really nice boats.

not familar with the boat, but the survey is going to be the best money you spend. take a several hour sea trial, run every thing on the boat individually, then all together. Run every RPM range. pay the surveyor to go with you. also research your surveyor, get an independent one if you are buying this through a broker. good luck.
