Welcome Ray.<br /><br />:.....changed the plugs no fire on 2 cyl....."<br /><br />Are you saying that 1 and 2 cylinders won't fire, or that the 1 and 2 sparkplugs have no spark?<br /><br />Could also be the trigger assembly. These units are getting old and the wiring on them fails often. Look at all connection to the stator, trigger, cdi, terminal strips, etc. Look for corrosion, breaks in the insulation, or hidden breaks of the wire inside the insulation. May need to get a manual and do some continuity tests, and some resistance test for the stator.<br /><br />If you are getting spark on 1 and 2, but they won't fire up the entine, do a compression check. You may have blown a head gasket when it overheated.

I'm getting no spark from the 1 and 2 plugs and what is the trigger i have heard the term or name b4 but have no idea what it is or looks like. there is one wire that comes out of the stat that the caseing is cracked on the cdi box's one of two is new but both have spark off one side of stator. we had it running on 2 cyl. off of one of the two plugs that comes off the stator please let me know about the trigger like i said i have no idea about it or what it does i know alittle about cars and nothing about 2 stroke motors with battery cdi ignition

ok here is my idea not haveing any testing equip......<br /><br /> there are 2 plugs that come out of the stator one for each side (2 cyl per side) <br /><br />there are 2 plugs that come out of what i assume to be trigger <br /><br />if everything is hookd up right and there is no spark on cyl 1 and 2 if i change the plugs off the stator and check plugs for one and two and there is spark then the one side of stator is bad correct it makes sense to me just a thought trying to figure out if its the stator or "trigger"
