Re: 92 Force 90HP water inLowerUnit
L/U's should be checked after each outing (if possible), for just this reason.
It's not only common, but inevitable for a L/U to develope a leak over time. And runtime hours are not the only thing that causes leaks.
Not so much of a problem down here in Florida as up north, just sitting on a trailer can destroy the L/U as the water inside freezes and expands.
Running a motor with comtaminated lube usually ends-up in a grenaded L/U.
But to answer your question, it is common and routine.
However, with the motor in neutral, rotate the prop by hand while watching the porop shaft, or prop's center, for
any wobble or out-of-true -- This could mean a bent prop shaft, and is a VERY expensive fix.
If the prop has any chips or pieces missing from any of it's blades, it may be running out of ballance, causing the seal to wear prematurely.

Not that having new seals installed is cheap, but it will be by comparison.
If you are handy, get the manual, tools,L/U seal kit and a new impeller, and go for it.
Otherwise, expect about a 250dollar repair bill for the job. Add an additional 100-200, if the drive or prop shaft is bent.
Ah yes....Just one of the many "ca-chings" to boat ownership.
