there is a mount on the backside of the motor above exhaust port.....its looks like it is broken or the rubber cushion has came off (picture #1) and then then other mount at the front bottom of leg is bad also(pic #2&3)...i can move the leg back and forth....can i buy these online somewhere or do i have to find a old motor?...also can i get away with just replacing the top back one?
Tach doesn't look good.
You need a tach for a motor with 20 pole charging system.
They are usually marked as such.
Not many that will work.
You need Teleflex 20 pole tach, part number 53743p

Lower mount is available from Mercury, part number 803714T , LOWER SHOCK MOUNT. Number 10 in this picture:

Not sure which part is broken in the first picture. Maybe you can find it here:

Re: Motor mounts and tach 120 force

thanks roscoe...the top mount is the L bracket that has 4 bolts on it....i guess it used to have some sort of rubber mount attached to it..now that its gone it allows the motor leg to rock back and forth.

if i can find one of the top ones i'd rather just replace that one since its easy to get too...that lower mount looks like i would have to dissemble the whole lower half of motor to change it out:(..the lower one still has the rubber on it, its just separated and seems like if the top mount was there it would still work.

Hi Roscoe

Cam you tell me how often you should replace the mounts? I have no visible sign of damage but the I can move the engine back and forward slightly?
