stupid bayliner wont start

ok i got a 86 bayline with a force 125<br />new battery<br />new carbs<br />new fuel lines<br />new ignition<br /><br />when i turn the key it clicks and nothing happends... it just clicks... the choke works... but it wont turn at all..it will spin by hand but thats all... what could the problem be..

stator has nothing to do with the start circuits,<br /> check the cable ends and the starter solinoid.if all is well then look at the starter.. do you have a DVM?

have you tried to bypass the solenoid to see if it is your starter

Go thru JB's post and then report back. You may want to pick up a maintenanace manual, they help alot in diagnosing problems and will tell you the tools and procedures to use. Radio Shack sells a good inexpensive DVM and it will come in handy when you need to test eletrical circuits and components.
