Please forgive me if this is a silly question but i am new to boating and am a little green, My tilt trim unit is my problem. It seems to rise far too slowly. My boat is currently in my driveway and it takes forever to rise all the way up. I have to manually lift and have someone push the up button for the motor to rise. I would appreciate any advice on my situation. thank-you

Welcome to iboats.

First thing to do is to check the fluid level.

If it is low, fill it with similar fluid.
Some use 30 weight motor oil, some use transmission fluid.

Then cycle it up and down a couple times to work any air out of the lines, then check the fluid level again.

If this doesn't fix it, post back.

Check around the trim pistons for any leaks, you could have a bad seal and it is bleading off the pressure. Check all the lines and fittings too!

That motor has the pump located outside of the transom brackets, correct?
In that case, the motor should be in the DOWN position to check the fluid.
