Kawasaki 750 engine: Repair or Toss

I have a 94 JT750 jet ski engine that needs a piston, sleeve (or bore out), connecting rod and crank pin kit. I've never worked on one of these "repairable" crank shafts before and I don't know if I should bore the cylinder or have a sleeve installed, or perhaps purchase a cylinder housing. Is this a repair that is worth doing or should I be looking for a good used engine. I love a challenge, what should I do?

the ski is not worth a lot of money so what ever you do it should be the least expensive fix possible

Whatever you do it's worth it. The 750 is a great little engine. If your ski is still in OK condition fix it. No matter which way you go, it will be a great education. It is a lot less expensive than a new ski & will provide years of service. Kawasaki's are great ski's, with a little care & careful riding, should give you miles of smiles!

Rememer to take your time & not be in a hurry on the fix up.

Make waves, not war,
Dave
