Re: MY dream car?

Kenny,Read this and drool
http://money.cnn.com/2003/08/01/pf/autos/duesies/
Imagine, 25 of them Duseys in one spot. I wouldn't mind having one, but unfortunately I don't yet have the seven figure income necessary to purchase one.
If I did have that kind of cash, I would also have a 1954 Mercedes 300SL, a Ferarri (pretty much any model), 1969 GTO Judge, and a Silverado 3500 series (them Duseys don't have that high of a tow rating :) )

Glad to see that everyone has good taste in cars.

LubeDude , thanks for that info on the photo's.

I'll try that next time.

Flahthead ,

Very nice Willy's.

I had a Willy's once, a 1948 Willy's 4X4 Pick-up.

5:13 gears, 6 cylinders, absolutly no leg room, and 2 MPG.

Wasn't exactly a daily driver.

bh357 ,

Thanks for the link.

And I too, can't afford one either.

Heard of a guy who found one in a junk yard, all rusted out, no interior, no nothing!

It was still sold for $700,000!

Re: MY dream car?

All great cars, thats for sure!

For me, it would have to be one of the classic muscle cars. A 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1. 455 - Big Block, 350 HP. In the classic Saturn yellow color.

For those not familiar with this one, I believe it was only offered in '70 and '71 with the GSX package. Again, I believe under 800 of these were produced in '70, and even fewer in '71, so, a pretty rare find.

The body style was based on the late sixties Chevelle's, so Mellow, you would probably love this one.

I had a basic '72 Buick Skylark 350, that had a similar body style.

I have seen pictures elsewhere, do a search on google to find them.

Re: MY dream car?

Yeah, I hear ya Mellow. My wifes grandmother had a '72 Chevelle Malibu convertible that had under 40,000 original miles. She sold it back in the early nineties, when I didn't have any money. :( (not that I have any money now either).

Man that car was nice.

I think the GSX Buick was just a fancier model of the GS Buick.

I wouldn't be picky, I would take either one. ;)

Re: MY dream car?

Hey Carpy,

You should look for a 1970 Buick GSC Colorado or California!

Its the same car as the GSX, just rebadged either Colorado or California.

If my memory serves me correctly, only about 500 Californias were built, and approximitly 150 Colorados.

These cars were rebadged by the local dealers, not the Manufacturer, but are reconized by Buick as being a different model.

Yeah Carpy,

There was a bit about the Colorado's and Califonia's on SPEED CHANNEL's "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage.

You should be able to catch a rerun of that program soon, because thats all that channel does, keep reairing shows, over, and over, and over...~

I'd be happy with a Shelby Cobra with the 289.

2005 Ford GT-40.

0-60 in 3.3 seconds (in first gear).

200 (estimated) mph top end.

Just blew the doors off the best that Ferrari and Porsche had to offer in the Car and Driver super car shootout. All catagories--$50K less to boot.
