Evinrude water issues

Hi<br />I have inherited an old 18hp evinrude, i don't know much about it's history, it's serial no. is 18902BC595502,<br />could anyone tell me it's age?<br />it is also not pumping much water, it is merely spraying every now and again (that's with the thermostat taken out), i've replaced the water pump and the gromet on the top of the water pump, i've run the hose through the lines and it seems to flow alright so it can't be blocked, any comments/ideas on what to try would be most appreciated<br />Cheers mike<br />sorry i put this in the wrong topic(first time)

If I am reading this right, 18 is the HP and 902 is the model number.<br />If so, then it is a 1931 model.
