94 jeep no start alarm

I used my jeep 1994 grand cherokee, 4.0, was running fine, went in saw a movie came out ad went to start the jeep and the lights start going on and off with the horn beeping on and off with a security light up on dashboard! this never happen before no alarm on the car ever! tried to start it and it would start for a second then die! had to disconnnect the battery and left it in the parking lot! this is very strange the was running good, i have no idea what hell its all about brought the truck last year this never happen before, no sign of an alarm on the truck yet horn beeps and headlights go on and off!

You know at first i looked at that seriously, no it is my jeep, it has a factory alarm i think it something to do with the door locks!

my g/f's car was the same way. It was a '89 Grand Am or Prix, don't remember which. Had the ignition replaced and when we put the key in afterwards, the horn and lights started going off and wouldn't stop unless you disconnected the battery. We eventually found the alarm relay under the hood and unplugged it. Didn't have a problem after that.

Johnson,what you need to do is get out of vehicle.close the drivers door and turn the key in the door.That is a factory alarm that is going off.I have many jeeps and all of the jeeps up to 1998 with factory alarms will work through the door key.Let me know if this works.Charlie

Thanks charlie, i did that to the passengers side door and it started right up! Thank you again!
