4 oz propane tank?

A standard 14.1 oz propane tank holds way more propane than I need for any job with my torch. Recently someone told me that he has a small refillable tank that holds about 4 oz of propane. Anybody know where I might buy such a thing? I've never seen them for sale anywhere, and google is no help...

Thanks, but I'm looking for something with standard propane tank threads.

ZmOz, I have one that fills off a 14.1oz tank. It is made by Weller. Do a search i'am sure you'll find them.

Have any part number or anything for that? A google search of "weller propane" returns nothing useful...

That's exactly what I'm looking for, all thumbs. I guess it must have been discontinued or something...maybe I can find one on ebay...

You refill one of those things that doesn't have a proper relief valve (accurate, proper placement, and fed from the vapor in the tank and not the liquid) and you heat it up or change altitude and you are asking for trouble.

Don't use one of those $10.00 "refill valves", I can't think of anyreason to risk such a devestating explosion or release of suffocating gas to save $$$. I would just replace the disposable tank and be done.

Good luck!

Disposeable tanks have a proper releife valve. After being refilled they're no more dangerous than they were to begin with...except for the fact that the main valve will wear out and leak, but that will make itself obvious very quickly...

That relief valve is set for the "proper" pressure of LP, it is unlikely that the backyard refiller would do this properly.
