Quick background. I live on the San Gabriel river near Georgetown TX. The river bank in my backyard is basically a large limestone bed. We recently had some very heavy rains and the river came up quite high. After it subsided, it had really cleaned all the accumulated dirt, debris, and left a pristine stretch of limestone. In walking along the banks I noticed these objects imbedded in the stone. They are about the size of golfballs, very symetrical and appear to be some sort of crystal-like structure. They vary in color from Gold to Rust. They are extremely heavy for there size. My first thought was meteorites but they are not attracted by a magnet. Most are round but some are eliptical. I found one that was broken in half and the inner part has the crystals emanating in a radial pattern. Any ideas what I got here?
