Hey LD...<br /><br />I think you'll find that the anti-shake system makes quite a difference. Other Konica-Minolta products that have it fare very well indeed.<br /><br />Without Anti-Shake...a 12X zoom would surely require a tripod for sharp results.<br /><br />Chuck

Yeah, I have a Kodak DX6490 with 10X zoom and no anti-shake. It is very difficult to get a good, handheld shot at full zoom.<br /><br />P.S. Yes, pix please, but you can skip any of Amsoil bottles . . .

Well, I do quite a bit of photography when I can, but lately I have been plagued with a less than satisfactory camera. Ive gone through about 5 of the same camera. Because I had a lot of accesories for it I stayed with the same one, (surely they couldnt be that bad), I was wrong though, every time they failed, they had different issues. Finally I had had enough. Ill recover some of the cost of this one by selling off the accesories.<br /><br />No pictures, well, there is a reason, I dont have it in my hands yet, but I cant wait to get it. Ill have to get a bigger memory card, and a card reader for the computer but Ill take a picture or two when I do recieve it and post them. This camera is suppose to take great action shots and recover quickly, (difficult with most digitals), we will see.<br /><br />Yes, taking pictures with much zoom without at least a mono pod is difficult at best and the zoom was one of the things that I had to have. I almost bought a Nikon of about the same type, but I found that they had some undesirable things I didnt want to deal with. I also like the fact that it uses AA batteries, I already have a bunch of rechargable ones and a charger.

nice you got the MINOLTA!! Kick *** camera. You will love it. My buddy has been a minolta rep for many many years. Have fun with it and show us some pics of those hogs.

Well, being the Ebay junky that I am, I been looking a long time for either a this camera, or the Panasonic. This one came along from someone that was upgrading and hasnt supposidly been used much. Anyway, I exchanged emails quite often and got the answers I wanted so I bought it for $250.00 plus $10.00 shipping. Comes in original box with everything that came with it new.

Well, I recieved it yesterday but havnt had time to set everthing up, maybe tonight.<br /><br />Its surprisingly smaller than I had expected it to be, Im very happy with it so far, but I havnt even taken a picture with it yet.<br /><br />He even sent a set of rechargable batteries with it, never said anything about that in the original add. Its in like new condition as stated. Powered it up and everything seems fine so far.

OK, OK!!!<br /><br />What I found great about this picture is that it captured the clouds perfectly, my old camera would have just shown a white blur. Other than that, Its not much.<br /><br />

Thats funny, I doo have several of his books though, Now there was a photographer. <br /><br />Honestly I just walked out my front door and took a picture when my wife said, "Boy, arnt those clouds pretty over the lake"? I was setting in my chair reading up on the camera. To me, this was just a snapshot.<br /><br />Im going to play with it some tomorrow, maybe go out and take some pictures of the Elk in rutt
