Howdy all, <br /><br />Well there is of course another choice.<br /><br />Back in 1999 I had my fill of Winblows ME and was able to "Blue Screen" XP right outta the box so I installed Redhat Linux 7.2 on my older box that had ME on it.<br /><br />Well, now I'm running SuSE Linux 10.0...No virus's, no spyware, no defragging, no blue screens, no lockups, etc etc.... and I'll never go back to Winders.<br /><br /><br />It's Totally FREE...just download Fedora and burn 4 CD's http://fedora.redhat.com or try the Knoppix live CD http://www.knoppix.org (click the US/British flag ).<br /><br /><br />Anyway...just a suggestion. Hey Techno...<br /><br />I've read through all your posts about two times... and I still can't figure out what's wrong with your machine...<br /><br />I might be able to provide some assistance as well. What exactly are the symptoms you are experiencing?<br /><br />Sean

i run ME on two machines because it is the last OS that will support the CAD seats we own<br /><br />and at 3500 dollars a seat we dont want to buy new ones<br /><br />but anyway the biggest problem is memory leaks that use it all and crash the machine.<br /><br />i use a free tool called tinyresmeter that tracks your ram as it goes missing and over time it goes who nos where<br /><br />this free tool will get it back most of the time but sometimes you just need to restart the machine <br /><br />i am typeing this on and ME machine that has been up 19 days 2 hours and 4 min while running at least 10 different programs<br /><br />tommays<br /><br /> http://www.amsn.ro/
