Yea RP, I seen them also.
Wish I could find some of them strobe lights that go in the tail lights. That would work also since the one's I'm worried about is the one's coming from behind.

Thanks

Really strong magnets you say? Find an old microwave oven. Remove the MAGNETron from it and disassemble it. The magnets are about the strongest that you'll find. Watch it, it'll really screw up your compass or compass/mirror if you have one.

Hello, I don't know if you have metal fab skills. But if I needed to get a bracket like that I would take a trip to the metal supply or building supply. Some plate stock and some small square tubing put together with patience might yield a nice result. If you don't weld use small nuts and bolts to assemble it. Dust it with a few coats of spray and see how it looks. Maybe this will give you an idea? :)

Hey Spinner I know someone in our Radio Club who has one. He uses it to mount antennas on his truck. (No holes) that way.
Just sent him a email. If he gets back to me I'll post.

Yakima Roof Racks may have the bracket you are looking for.

Update, after looking at it in the daylight, the gutters just go past the door, not all the way back. I might try the magnet thing.

Anyone have any experience with "Earth Magnets"?
Suppose to be strongest out there and they are pretty small.

Re: Gutter mount question

I heard if you put one on the refridgerator you cant pull it off. Supose to have to slide it to the edge to be able to remove it.

Re: Gutter mount question

SBN, Does it need to be roof mounted for mail delivery? I seen a plow truck the other day that had strobes in the tail lights.

Also on the magnet thing. Go to a vet or farm supply store and pick up a couple cow magnets.

I talked to a microwave expert today and ask him about the magnets from one and he issued me a stern warning.
Do not attemp to remove the magnet from a microwave, no matter how long it has be unused or sitiing outside.
The type magnet they use stores energy and can explode if they are not "de-armed".
I don't know, but I don't feel like finding out.
He said if I found one, to bring it to him and he would remove it, no charge.
