Hi guys. I'm looking for a program that will allow me to time pictures and video clips to music and then burn the result to a DVD. I'm a major novice at this stuff and I have no idea where to start. Is there a program that you guys would suggest, and how easy is to use these programs? Thanks for your help.

If you have windows xp, you should have windows movie maker already on you pc. Its not the best, but it is something to try. No real instructions, you just have play with it to learn how to use it.

Hey, thanks cpj. I never knew that was in there. I tried making a small movie with pix and stuff I had on the computer and it's pretty cool. Another question for you. When I blow my movie up to full screen, it's blurry, like the pictures aren't detailed enough. But when you just open up a picture, not with the movie maker, it looks fine. Is there someway to correct that or is it just because it's a cheap movie maker? You really couldn't play them on a TV because it would be too blurry.

DR, I dont know for sure but I think that you can choose what resolution that you want the video to be. Ill check it and get back with ya. Keep in mind though, the better the quality the bigger the file. And video viles can become HUGE in very little time.

OK, when you go to save the video, it asks you how you want to save it.There is a button checked that says save for viewing on the computer or somthing like that, then below it it says show more choices. Click that, then it gives you more options. choose the last one then use the little arrow to show all the choices. There was one that said something about high quality video or something to that effect. Wow, I hope you understand that, cause Im not sure that I do! In other words you just have to save it and follow the prompts. Hope that helps. I havent messed with it much, and what I did was just goofing anyway, so I didnt care about the quality of the video.

Thanks cpj, that helps. I'm going to give that a try and see if it comes out better. It's pretty cool either way. :)

Okay, I figured it out. It only looks grainy when you're in the movie maker mode. Once you save it to the computer the resolution is fine. I put one to music and I was playing a little with the effects. It really is easy. I made a short movie in about 15 minutes. I'm ready for Hollywood. :D
