Well geez, since I lasted posted life is getting GOOD! Damn what a struggle though! Got some home improvement jobs, made $350 in 7 hours working for wealthy folks in UPSCALE neighborhood, got another deal in the works for apmt. complex maint., installing(just finished proposal)a survellance system w/ one of my best buddies at local liqour store(I know owner well), owner ALSO has 11 properties for me to maintain, interviwed at LOTS of jobs and got I.T. MGMT. position offer for HUGE co., more than I have EVER made, full bennies, corp. credit card, get PAID to learn and teach, they UPPED salary we agreed on!!!???, LITTLE travel, 7 miles from home(then in a year or so they moving 30 mi. away - I'll deal w/ that when time comes), two other co.s NOW????? want me, money all good, got a deal on 66 Chevy truck(for work), son is AWESOME, will still be money TIGHT more a few more weeks(gonna have to call those credit card co's). But God I STILL look everyday for work! Incredible when you don't give up I suppose??? Thanks to all who offered so much support! Thanks! Yeah got "laid off" w/o a word in late July after 7 years! *******s! Mid level mgmt. change. Talked to old GOOD boss this week and he says "congrats, you now have a REAL job w/ a REAL co. that knows how to treat folks well" and he wants me to keep eyes open for him . He is a GOOD guy.

Thanks! I had 2 intvws with county, they are SLOW to make hire decisions!!!, one to sell ADT alarms, may do that????, finished proposal for surveillance system at local liqour store today, have another store in Jan.(me and buddy working together), ANYTHING to make $! Found that some jobs just weren't for me at intvw, tried/trying govt jobs, SO hard to get into w/ their test freezes, Caltrans, you name it! You HAVE to look always and everywhere I found. Turned down a few GOOD jobs because I am a single parent, hours and too much travel(hurricane damage work HUGE),cold calling got me a few GOOD side jobs though! I just don't depend on ANYONE co. or individual anymore, gotta look out for yourself, becuase you CAN be canned anywhere and time. Thanks again for all the support!

It's great to hear when things fall into place for someone. Congratulations on all your good fortune. Just the sort of story I needed to read on Monday morning, thanks for sharing it.<br /><br />I went through a similar experience a number of years ago-laid off after 15 years, without substantial work for 2 1/3 years, so know what you feel like when things get back on track.

we'll see, but for local travel .50 a mile, $50 to eat on at least a day, co. credit card, and they dont care if $250 a night for hotel WHEN I have to travel for meetings(2 weeks a yr). Doesnt matter, I'm WAYYYYYYYY ahead of where I USED to be w/ other "job".

Well hell yes I got it, just been gettin broken in since this past Monday, LOTS of conf. calls, mtgs(too much! I wanna get to WORK!!!), and talking to my guys - lotsa work, put me in the middle of a 3 site move project(I've done this for years, no biggee), just gettin to know the players, who , why what, when, I LOVE it! I't ll be the best Xmas and YEAR and future EVER!!! Thanks again all you guys for the support! What a hard found blessing! <br />P.S. Now I have to turn down side jobs!!!!

Hey guys, job going well, lucky to have 6 staff who are GREAT field techs, we're way overworked and undermanned, and puttin out fires allover plus gotta move 3 ofices to one location next month, but all in all < i love it! Never a dull moment and get to USE my ideas to save time etc. Just gotta do maybe 2 classes(online I think) to catchup, bennies great, kids great, lookin like a grand Xmas for us(but were still $ tight for a BIT)! Hope all have a wonderful holiday season!!!! and THANKS!
