I got a promotion at work this past week. We had a big restructuring of leadership at work, dropping some manager and supervisor positions, and adding a few others in certain departments. I am now one of the supervisors/seniors of Product Process (logistics). To top it off I also became our store's head functionality technician......so I make sure all displays function properly, make sure all the tv's are getting the correct signal, and making sure security devices are all up and running. In short I am responsible for everything in the store working the way it should.

Hopefully you are getting paid for being a manager type and a technician. Just a thought. Congrats

I love that TV commercial that shows the guy with all kinds of bosses, then says "Now I'm the boss and my plan is to keep the boss happy". Congrats.

Well the hardest part is dealing with people who don't care about the job, just going through the motions and choosing when to show up and when not to.

I had to fire a kid during the christmas season for constantly being late and not showing up.......

Then after the holidays sorting through the season help to decide who to keep and who to get rid of wasnt a lot of fun. Goes with the territory though.

Is it still that cool to be a boss???? Is the money really worth it??

Ah the dream of success and the thought we can do it better than our predecessor. Just the questions I ask myself!!!

The money is worth it to me, now that I have learned to not feel sympathy for those who arent willing to put the work in in the first place.

I like the responsibility. I don't like to be dependant on others, and would rather put stuff on my shoulders.......
