We are building a new AATV (Amphibious All Terain Vehicle)and need help selecting the prop. We will be using 2 counter-rotating props. The max. available prop rpm is 800, being a 6 wheel skid steer either one or both props could be turning depending on direction. The min-max prop shaft HP will be 7.5 to 15. Our proto-types use the tire tread to propel us at 3-4 mph, we need 10 mph, is this possible to achieve? The bow is Jon Boat style, please view the pics and video at web page for more details, thanks for any help/suggestions

Welcome to iboats. :)

That's going to be a tough one. Only props for large motors have standard and counter rotating props. Michigan Wheel is who you should contact. They make more different props than anyone. http://www.michiganwheel.com/ Best of luck!

It might not work out so bad. 10mph at 800rpm is about a 14" pitch for 0 slip. Figuring on a lot of slip, say 30-50%, that puts them in the ballpark for large engine props. I don't know how efficient they'll be at those speeds though! I would be very interested to hear what MW had to say.
