Maybe NOT>>
Dale, can you recommend which 4 blade prop I should try???
If it doesn't work...I'm sure I can always resell it.

I may possibly know where a set is, but I'm not sure of the condition...

OK Guys>>>if 4 blade, are we talking 17" pitch?
OR 15"?
Are we talking about raising the engine to the last hole? OR will it be that I can trim up more?

I know we have been dealing with a quality S.S. Prop, and I don't have a problem buying another, >>>but do you know anyone that has one of the SOLAS AMITY 4 blade props that are for sale here at Iboats?

If I get the S.S.4 blade, should I get the TURBO or the STILETTO...and what model of prop do you recommend ???

THANKS AGAIN

OK >>> its UPDATE TIME!
I got a new TURBO 3 blade 13.25 x 15 and its like a different boat! it jumps right up onto plane, and just excellerates to top speed in a few seconds. I had a heavier then normal load onboard (extra guy fishing) and I was amazed at the difference.
I had a hard time getting an accurate reading from my tach because my eyes were tearing from the wind & the area I was boating in was VERY congested (4th of July weekend) so I didn't want to be starring at the tach.

From the sound of the engine, I would say I picked up about 200-300RPM. I also had my Bimini top up with the front & side "curtains" so there was a lot more drag there too. I DID loose 2.5 MPH top speed>>>but I don't know if it was the added load, or the pitch.
What really amazed me was that with the 17" pitch Stiletto prop, I could only trim out about 3/4 before the prop would loose bite & the steeringwheel would try & pull out of my hands. I would have to trim in before turning, or the prop would just vent badly.
With the TURBO, I could trim out all the way>>>this is with the engine at the same hight, 1 hole from the highest setting. I could turn HARD with this prop and still not vent! Makes me wonder about a 17" pitch Turbo?
I will post a more accurate (apples to apples) results when I run the boat with my usual load.

I replaced my 15 pitch prop with a 13 pitch Turbo over a year ago (walleyehed's advice) on a 1969 trihull, 60 hp Rude. HUGE difference! MUCH better hole shot, MUCH better handling, same top end with a few more rpms. Jerks my old bod up on one ski (with only 60 hp, Thank you Walleyehed!). I find it odd that they didn't tell you to try a lower pitched Turbo on the first couple of posts.

Breaker 19 for Mr. Obvious, got your ears on?
