we got caught in a real downpour, when I got home I discovered my locator was full of water (about 1/2 cup worth} I drained it and ran a hair dryer on it without taking it apart, later it turned on OK, it stayed in the garage for a month, today I went to the lake,it turned, but was stuck on metric readings, and it won't change to other modes. it is 8 or 9 yrs. old---can someone give me the address for EAGLE so I can have it repaired, or is it worth it?---BOB WILLIAMS

Ahoy, Bob. Get the serial number and model name and call 800-324-1356.<br /><br />My old Eagle Ultra II croaked. I called them. they said they don't repair the Ultra II anymore but offered me $100 for it on a trade for a Lowrance X65. I now have a nice X65 for $170.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . . <br />JB

JB---I called eagle, they said they don't repair or give rebates anylonger, I've always been lucky.They also said the x65 is now marketed as the eagle accura 240 sonar, I then called cabelas, they still had the x65 for $269, so I bought one. I read your message of for sale items. I have a small 12 ft. jon boat that needs a locator. what are you asking for your fish easy$ I HAVE A PORTABLE PACK WITH LANTERN BATT'S i WONDER IF IT WOULD WORK ON THE FISH EASY? I'm glad I don't type for a living. With the portable pack, I could put it on my pontoon when we go out.My E-mail is -belllake@cheqnet.net Didn't you say also that you had a hummer? Hey, Bob. Thanks for your reply. I suspected that Lowrance was going to discontinue the X65 model designation in favor of the Eagle Accura 240. They are the same unit, but it is top of the line as Eagle and kid brother as Lowrance. Sorry you had to pay full price.<br /><br />Tell me about your sick Eagle. . . model, etc. and symptoms. If metric display is its only problem I may be interested.<br /><br />I would sell my FishEasy for $60, including postage. It was new this year. I paid $97 plus tax at Wal-Mart. It is too small for the PPP-6 powerpack's mount, but you could use the mount that came with it. It has the power cord and transducer that came with my new X65. The X65 is using the (installed) power cord and transducer that came with the FishEasy.<br /><br />The Hummer works fine (or did before I broke the Xducer lead). I would rather give it away to a younster or scout troop than sell it. JB---my ill eagle ser# is kt-032-2390, it is the ultra mod. with the press keys on the screen. I think by pressing the keys loosened the seal aroind it, hence it leaked, before that it worked fine, I'll give you $60, for the fisheasy, and if you want the ultra, tell me what you'll give and deduct it from the $60, I am a totally honest man, I will trust you if you trust me.Am waiting for your answer, HACE A GOOD DAY-----BOB

Lost an Eagle recently, they would not fix or give a rebate...But I would buy another one. Got 5 years of good service in saltwater with mine...
