Rush popularity on the radio doesn't do anything positive for the citizen of this country but his bank account. If anything his "scared straight" tactic is a source of division fueling the unprepared mind. Wrestling also has a huge fan following but we are know it's fake. I guess if you don't read too well, is believable.

Anyone can point out a problem but it takes an intelligent person to find a solution. Fueling the fire is what he does best and it all adds up in his wallet. I hope all you listeners feel better. SUCKERS ! 8)

There goes that liberal mantra saying..."lets just attack if we cant compete in the area of ideas".

Oh and BTW Rush loves to rub in the fact that his show does earn him money and has become a big business. Rush also give alot of money to a leukemia foundation he started awhile back. Whats wrong with making money. I like to make money....do YOU make money?...shame on YOU ya lousey liberal!...there....

Oranthal James,8) you missed the point. I could careless what party he belongs to. My point is, we the listeners, are the losers in this affair. Rush Boy contradicts himself constantly yet we tuned in contributing to his "habit". My excuse is I flunk 4th grade twice and i spend my spare time watching Wrestling. I don't read that well so I tend to believe anything and everything. What yours?

Nothing wrong with making money. So that you know, I am currently unemployed. My job was out sourced to Paque, Hungary, Budapest to name a few countries. Anyhow, what Senior Rush doing is wrong. Driving a wedge between the population is what I am against. While we are busy at each other throat his bank account balloons. Are you seeing the "bigger picture" or do i need to refocus. The unprepared mind will fall for it every-time. Again WE are the bigger loser. If you're happy with it then I'm happy. See ----> d:)

Last note. if you think Rush Boy blabbing, "ideas" then I'm Swiss.

Kagee, i don't think anyone is trying to silent him. At least not on my part. I welcome ideas/opinions from everyone. I stand to learn allot. Win win situation for me. Having said that let's not blur the line between fact and fiction. Rush Boy comments are fictitious viruses looking for a dummy host to feed on. Break the cycle. make a change. I did. 8)

There are quite a few well (edge jum ma cated) folks on this forum from both sides of the fence. I need not say who. The proof is in the posts. Post on Comrades. Democracy at its finest. d:)

Perhaps not all the opposition is trying to silence him. They may just be happy to have him run his show from behind bars. Or maybe they could try to go after his sponsor base thru organised boycott. So be it. Like you stated, "Democracy at it's finest"... right?
If you say so.

Ah, I love it. Poor Rush as victim once again! Poor guy! Let's give him some sympathy!

Let's see, the customs agent must have planted the drugs. Oh wait, Rush said he had them.

The customs agent had no business checking drugs/prescriptions. Oh wait, isn't that their job?

Oh the customs agent detained him when the name on the prescription did not match his name. I'm sure no one ever lies to a customs agent about drugs for heaven's sakes, especially someone flying in a private plane from South America...

Sounds to me like that customs agent was just being alert and doing her job. We are trying to tighten border security, after all!

If Rush wants to stay clear of customs, he needs to know what is in his posession and declare it or get rid of it. Personal responsibility apparently applies to every one but Rush, I guess.

Yes, i love it. I'm sorry if you don't (kinda).

And i know a customs agent looking who has been "placed on unpaid leave pending an internal investigation". Don't forget,PW anbd Haut guy--- the OJ doctrine dictates that he with the most money gets the lawyers who can retain the best grease when he squeeks. They get good doctors too.

I'm sorry for rubbing salt in any wounds you may have, PW. I respect you, and know how much you wish he was silenced. Better luck next time he is randonlly-searched, (or set up -- however you want to refer to incidents like that).
Well, I'll TTYL...I gotta run, man! :) I got to get some more M&M's before I kill somebody

The loss of the "edit" feature is driving me slowly to the dark side.

however ignorant Rush's latest, he broke several federal and state laws.
customs is federal, not state, juristiction. your not state meat nor even considered in country until you clear customs upon arrival.
aug 01 I will be reentering the states in Miami, I hope customs there is as easy to deal with as atlanta.
however you can bet I will have my ducks in a row.

many medications, like viagra, that are prescription medications here and controled by the controled substance act are readily avalible as OTC in Venezuela.
however even though I can leagally purchase them in VE over the counter does not mean I can bring them into the states.
the importation of a controled substance is prohibited without the prescription.
the artheritis medication I bought in VE last december is OTC there, prescription only here. however I had the doctor write a prescription in accordance with US regulations and customs in ATL was happy to allow me to bring it into the states.
had I not had it I could have been detained for importing a controled substance.

while I agree it was a silly frivolous thing ole windbag did it does not negate the fact he is on probation and broke drug laws again.
but its so stupid I cant see prosecuting the guy over it.
they may but sometimes the law needs to be applied reasonably.
I could see it if maybe narcotics were involved or a sufficient quantity to resell but not 29 pills.
the customs agent was just following federal law in a federal juristiction and leagally and rightfully detained Rush.
I am telling all that customs can and does get thoughrough with searches.
I go through with as little as possible :).

The viagra is in the Rush....
Good for Rush that he can afford the best lawyers & doctors.....
I'm happy for him.....
I am sad that he has to go offshore to get it up & get some though.....
But as long as he has like minded (& bodied) old, angry, white guys to fund him, IT'S ALL GOOD! d:)

The usual suspects who cried like stuck pigs over supreme court findings in search warrants somehow forgot how important the right to privacy is. I hope all your medical records are made available for the press like Rush's were during the doctor shopping charges. Not just available for the court, for the press, prior to the disposition of the case. Oh, I have to wonder how the AP got the viagra story so fast??? Then again, no I don't. Why am I not surprised.

I find it funny to watch those who crow nonstop about the freedom of press, working, maliegning, praying, begging, that Rush might somehow be silenced. All the ambiguous accusations, barstool lawyers, and hate towards someone that you don't have to listen to is interesting. Never take on his positions, simply trash the man personally. And the left can't figure out why they just keep losing elections. In the theater of ideas, who exactly is the voice of the left, other than Randi Rhodes, and Al Franken. Yes, I know ---- Run away, other than that.

Carry on. Please.

Just which positions are those? The ones that suggest people who abuse drugs should be thrown in jail?

Look, I don't really care that he got off on this. It was probably the proper outcome given what I know of the circumstances.

But the notion that Rush was somehow a victim of a zealous customs agent is laughable.

It is up to you to know the rules when you cross international borders. Agents' sole job is to ensure those rules are enforced. If Rush were honest and not hypocritical, he would have apologised and praised that agent for doing her job.

Air America is the left's answer to all the blowhards like Rush. They're growing and the Rush market is shrinking. Most media is owned by conservatives, so they keep the conservative programming going with inflated "numbers". AA has an uphill battle, but they're rising to the occasion. Google Air America. You can listen online. They're in many cities on FM, and they have a station on satellite radio.

Oops. Looks like we've move on to page two.

Ah gee PW, you mean like Kennedy? How many days in jail did he get? Did he even go to jail at all? Did Rush get the luxury of a state paid limo ride to his family compound? I guess all that pandering to the police does pay off. Funny how most of us realize just how meaningless the story really was and didn't use it as a vehicle to maleign the man. I wish the same could be said for everyone equally regardless of political persuasion. But it is clear we can't.:'(

LOL! I love it when the left tries to take moral high ground. The irony is palable! They are defined by a generation of decadence and drug abuse, and gave us new phrases like, "make love, not war" / "Do your own thing" / "Whatever turns you on" (i could go-on,but am digressing)...Yet suddenly, they seem to have a problem with one guy who they despise having a weekend of fun (as he describes it)....Fascinating!

Ca Ching, bling bling and an all-night thing :)
Luck? "Hard" werk? - (get it?) - Bored?..... However you got there, and if that is what you do for kicks, have fun, Rush. Whatever "turns you on".. LOL!

I want to see the left try as "hard" as they can to "make hay" of this. If this thread is any indication of collective lefty sentiment, it shows how far some WANT to go, but their efforts "remain flaccid". Keep werkin on it, but get off your collective wallets, y'all. You're up against the rule of law, and it takes OJ-sized coffers to be able to undermine or subvert it just to tear-down those you hate....
Or not -- Just whisper a little BS into Dan Rather's predecessor's ear. You may even gain a chargeable case. Alas (sniff), a "limp" response from your prosecutor team to "date". Perhaps some of the film and media industry's Betty Ford alumni could inject some much-needed capital. Hey, man...I'm just enjoying the controversy. Rush is not a senator that be be dethroned by a simple accusation. But do keep trying. It distracts you from twarting GENUINE progress where it counts most.(like taking back the courts that gave us flag-burning and such).

And I am all for that

C'mon 12, if we're going to play Horse Shoe, let's be honest. I don't want you to cheat on me.

I don't think anyone "despise" Rush Boy. The problem is he constantly say things that aren't true or at least he didn't provide any solution. Their are lots of "unprepared" mind out there. They don't know any better but to believe everything coming outta his mouth. Such blabbing is anything but a divisive measure in the name of making money.

Again anyone can state the problems and direct the fault to any political party. I like to see him address the solution to those problems. :%
