however ignorant Rush's latest, he broke several federal and state laws.
customs is federal, not state, juristiction. your not state meat nor even considered in country until you clear customs upon arrival.
aug 01 I will be reentering the states in Miami, I hope customs there is as easy to deal with as atlanta.
however you can bet I will have my ducks in a row.
many medications, like viagra, that are prescription medications here and controled by the controled substance act are readily avalible as OTC in Venezuela.
however even though I can leagally purchase them in VE over the counter does not mean I can bring them into the states.
the importation of a controled substance is prohibited without the prescription.
the artheritis medication I bought in VE last december is OTC there, prescription only here. however I had the doctor write a prescription in accordance with US regulations and customs in ATL was happy to allow me to bring it into the states.
had I not had it I could have been detained for importing a controled substance.
while I agree it was a silly frivolous thing ole windbag did it does not negate the fact he is on probation and broke drug laws again.
but its so stupid I cant see prosecuting the guy over it.
they may but sometimes the law needs to be applied reasonably.
I could see it if maybe narcotics were involved or a sufficient quantity to resell but not 29 pills.
the customs agent was just following federal law in a federal juristiction and leagally and rightfully detained Rush.
I am telling all that customs can and does get thoughrough with searches.
I go through with as little as possible
