8) Hello all, first post on this site. Great for info.
Here's my question. 1958 35hp sea horse, is running but sort of rough. Current installing starter for easier troubleshooting. (right arm is stretching) While installing starter, the 2 bolts at front of starter bracket down below carb seem to have 2 different size bolts. The one on the right as you face engine seems to be very long but I don't remember it being that long when I removed it before attempting starter install. Any idea as to what size(length) the bolt should be and what thread pattern? When it did start there was fuel spraying out of this bolt hole as I had not replaced it so I discontinued troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated.
