water sep filter

I just installed a water sep filter and new fuel line on my 1990 70, Now I cant get the line to prime, I must have squeezed it a 100 times .
1. should the bulb be before the filter?
2. I did pre fill the filter after it would not prime
any suggestions

bulb should be between the filter and engine. you may have a bad check valve in the bulb. is the arrow on the bulb pointing toward the engine?

put old line on and it primed up right away thanks tashadday!!!

So the new fuel line was bad? What cured it?

Yes the new fuel line was bad "aftermarket one" put my 2 year old omc line one and it primed rock hard in 4-5 pumps. Sorry for the delay but the fish were waitng for me
