Your plans for the 4th?

We are heading out Sunday at oh-dark-thirty for Lake Mead. From there to Havasu early Tuesday. Fireworks over the lake that night, which we should be observing from the boat. It's one of those boating merit badges I still need . . . Home on Thursday. Lots of driving, lots of boating, but should be good as long as we keep it safe!!!

We were planning on fishing today and tomorrow since I won't be home on the 4th and we are getting rained out.:'(

We did manage to boat on over to a friends house for dinner last night and got home around midnight. We forgot to lift the boat up in the slip or tie it off so at 6:30 this morning our neighbor called to inform me that our boat was floating down the canal. :'(

So, off with the nightie, and on with the swimsuit to retrieve our boat before anyone else on the street could see what a dumb thing we did. We would never hear the end of it.

Just think, in a few more minutes, your boat could have been floating out of Jamaica Bay into the gulf.

Then you would have been woke up by USCG choppers doing a search and rescue for the missing owners of that boat.

I hope you at least remembered to turn off the engine.

Must have been in some hurry to get into bed.

My 4th plans??
I might take the boat out for a few evening walleyes.

I have to work ever night so my time will be filled with dodging drunks all night, yea, what fun.
Wife just about collected one last night.
4 lane road and just before she got to town here came a truck pulling a bass boat on her side in her lane, scared her to death she said.
So, she will be with me for the next couple days and we will just double up.
You all have a safe one and please don't drink and drive.

Got a slip in Port Washington for the holiday, running down to Milwaukee to watch the fireworks from the boat. They shoot them out over the harbor.

Summerfest is going on, so at least one afternoon there is on the agenda, which one I don't yet know.

Ill be here for some of this, will be in the middle of the Mississippi river on a barge for the fire works show over the Arch. Will not go to the lake on a holiday that is when the fools go their.

We're just staying home. We try to avoid these crazy days. Its just too dangerous out there. So, we'll barbeque and watch the stars.

Gonna race GTP class in the Texas series slotcar race Sat and Sun in Alice Texas at Hub City Hobbies.I'd be tickled to take third.Lot of big guns from the Dallas and Houston area will be there so we'll see what happens.Oh and My wife and I will likely shoot off some fireworks in the evening of the fourth with my son and his wife.
