Hello all!
My father just gave me his old 2.5 hp Seahorse (Mod# HD25, Ser# 656414). It hasn't been run in several years, and I'm gearing up to mount it on my pirogue and give it a try. Any info on the proper fuel/oil ratio would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks and tight lines!

it is a classic, built between 1946 and1950 that would put it at 24-1 gas-oil. take good care of it.

24:1 with today's TC-W3 oils are fine, but back then it used a 16:1 mix which was a 1/2 pint of oil to 1 gallon of gasoline.

Yes Rick, it looks just like that pic of the 2.5.
Thanks for the info, I need to get started making sure she's ready for use (lower unit oil, impeller, etc).
