He showed me where it goes. IT in the back of the motor so he says. I will show you as soon as I have time to remove the motor hood. I have been cleaning years of crud from the seats before somebody see's the boat I know:^

The big thing is snaking the hose to the consol as he told me it took him 5 hours to run 2 wires to where I have to go as it is tight and cannot access it except from a small open hole to feed it through.

Is it wise to screw a brass fitting into an aluminium block, I was under the impression that this caused electrolysis and in time eat the thread out.

Fresh water engine. Apparently the factory doesn't think its a problem either. The engine had a brass plug where the temp sensor is currently installed -- which is also brass. Besides, I'll trust a brass fitting more than the plastic junk used in many applications. Since nearly every bolt in the engine is steel against aluminum, I can't believe a brass fitting would be any worse.

I agree. Not the engine, but on my toon, I have had brass drain plugs in the rear of the logs for years and they look as good as the day I installed them....No galvanic corrosion going on at all.....

Back to the original question about water pressure for 20 hp rude.

New water pump not just impeller still no presure at idle
(still T'ed but going to remove teltale and try that now)10 lb at 5000rpm and motor runs a lot better now it has the water pump spacer in there that was missing. I also removed the SE hydrofoil and the boat plained a lot smother and had more RPM and faster. The boat did not neew that much trim to get it to scoot prettty good.
