I have model VWB19077A SeaKing 9HP outboard that
has a cracked all the way around the prop's cast casing.
If anyone can tell me where I can find/buy one, it would
be much appreciated!
I've been looking for some time and no luck. This is a very good motor and I'd hate to have to lose it.

Thanks!

That is a Chrysler built engine, tuna. A Chrysler lower unit from the same period should fit.

I would first haunt ebay. No luck there and out of patience I would go to tcoutboard.com. They have everything (used).

Good luck. :)

As JB mentioned try ebay. TCoutboard would probably have the lower unit but they will want you to send them yours so they can match it. Take the old one apart and remove all the parts and get them in oil. Typically a crack in a lower unit comes from not draining the oil in the lower unit in fall. If water gets in there and sits in below freezing weather the water will expand and crack.

Chances are the lower unit you find on ebay the gears will be shot expecially the clutch and forward gear. You can replace the worn ones with yours as long as they are not damaged.

This one on ebay might work for you

Yeah, ebay has not produced anything as far as searching for this lower unit. I'll give tcoutboard a try.

Thanks for the info and link. I'll check it out and hopefully can save my motor. You may be right on about the lower unit freezing up and causing such a wierd breakage. I see no other possible way for this type of cracking to have happened. The expansion due to ice makes a lot of sense.

Thanks again!
