Hey Guys i'm new here found this sight and it is nice to see how much everyone helps out !
Ok here my problem i bought a 02-03 Polaris Virage i about 10 hrs on it. Motor was siezed but with persistance and a mallet lol i got it free, it has a crack in the water jacket of the rear cylinder at the top. i have searched over the net for a place near me Rhode Island for a used or new Cylinder i believe its a 700 or 800 boat wit 2 cylinders silver heads. if anyone could steer me to some place where i can get a replacement cylinder at a not rediculas price . Also if need be would a polaris snowmobile engine work in one of these boats
Thanks for any help !!!

Woah Buddy, No a snowmobile motor would not work in your ski. Nothing would match up The gearing would be wrong and if its air colded forget it. Me, id try and JB Weld it or Weld it but thats because my budget isnt very high. The JB weld would do the same job if you could find the crack and fill it. Also you might want to find out why its cracked so if you replace the cyclinders it wont happen again

Thanks AlanR i got the cylinder off and its cracked right down the line that looks like a casting seam almost a perfect straight crack ! I'm going to swap it out with one from a 1200 virage i its seams like it the same cylinder and piston. Thanks for all the info!! BTW anyone no of a good place to get bearing and rings at that don't rape ya SBT don't even list parts for 800 virage ! guess direct injection low port engines are hard to come by again thanks Dana
