3.0 died at wot

Yesterday I pulled the grandkids for 3 hours on the tube,everything fine.I then went for a cruise and at 3/4 throttle all was fine then at wot it died after about 30 seconds.Took 10 minutes to get it started and got back to shore.Boat has 422 hours and is one owner and all original in pristine condition.I changed the fuel filter on top of fuel pump about 3 weeks ago.Any ideas,Tom

Pull the filter and pour the fuel contents in a jar or pan and check for any contaminants i.e. water, trash.

mine did the same thing about three weeks ago. My problem was the resistor wire had gone bad and was killing the motor under a load. Try running a lead from the ignition to the hot lead on the coil and see if it does it.
