I just aquired an Evinrude Feetwin 7.5. in the motor instructions call for 1/2 Pint oil for every gallon of gas. what is the fuel mix ratio for this motor? This motor looks to be in the 50's with a pressureized tank.

Well,a pint =16oz.
1/2 pint = 8oz.
1 gallon =128oz.
Therefore, 128 divided by 8=16

The mix ratio = 16:1

what the model number on it. should be on the transom mount somewhere. i'm asking because some of the 16-1 was with using the 30wt non detergent oil, before the outboard tcw3 oil came along.

Re: Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5

I'm with TD......all my old early 50's small Johnsons use 25 to 1 TCW-3.
16-1 is old school, old oil, really old motors

Re: Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5

you will be safe with 25-1 tcw3 outboard oil. you can mix 16-1 30 wt, but you will look and smell like a mosquito fogger.

Thank you now all I need is to replace the impeller. I need to find a repair manual...

On the impellar, probably 2 bolts holding the lower on, pull those, then a couple more on the pump housing when it comes out. Pretty simple. Google "Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5 Manual". thats a good start. Try here at IBoats too first
