Mid 80s 60hp Evinrude wiring issues

I have just aquired a mid eighties 60hp VRO Rude'. Basically I need to know what the various wires in the loom do so I can start it up. I have the following colours:
-Grey
-Tan
-Purple
-Black/yellow
-Red/yellow
-Purple/white
-Red/purple

Welcome to iboats Tim!

We'll see if we can get this right.......

Grey....tach lead...goes to the "S" post on the tachometer.

Tan....Alarm signal...connects to the warning horn....tells you if the engines overheating or if you have a problem with the VRO.

Purple.....Accessory 12v DC feed. Like alarm horn and anything you want to start up when the ignition switch is turned to "ON".

Black/w yellow stripe....kill wire from power pack

Yellow/w red stripe.....start wire....goes to one of the small post on the starter solenioid.

Purple/w white stripe....(choke) goes to the primer soleinoid.

Red/w purple stripe...from battery....feeds all of the above.

email me 'tashasdaddy@comcast.net' will scan wiring diagram for you. need model # off transom mount to get the right one. tell me in the email you need the 60hp wiring diagram, as i help a lot of people.
