I have a question about the OMC shift cable. My boat is a 1983 and I have the OMC 800 drive. Is there any maintenance that should be done to the shift cable? The boat is 23 years old and I doubt the thing has ever been touched. The thing is I do not have any problems with it. It works fine. I'm leery about even touching it. It seems these things are very expensive and very fragile. What do you think?
