I have a 1990 sea ray 250DA with the 7.4 Bravo. I had to switch to an electric fuel pump and the engine is running perfectly. The kit made no mention of the plastic tube that went from the carb to the mechanical fuel pump and there is nowhere to connect it to the new pump. What is it's function and what do I do with it now? Thanks.

Usually the tube is an idicator and safety feature incase the pump diaphram ruptures

Not for sure, but since you do not have the mech. pump any more you can probably plug the fitting or leave a small section of rubber tube and put a plug or screw in it. I don't know if it will effect the idle or running if you just leave it open. It should have some vacuum on it.

It's of no use now. Just curious, how long did the conversion take?

All you have to do is remove the hose from the carb and plug the hole (Do not just leave the hole open).

Thanks for the info. The conversion took aprox 5 hours with a friend who is a mechanic.
