2000 evinrude 15hp wont start

was running up creek yesterday full throttle pulled back on throttle to pass another boat motor died like the switch was turned off. wont restart. no spark. thinking ign switch but have no clue on how to test. where can i find a wiring diagram? thanks for the help.

Can you post the model number of your motor?? Port side transom mount has the info on I.D. plate.

landyard still in switch.pulled it out and reinstalled it. even tried wiggling it while turning the key. no help.

tested for power at the coil while starting, no fire.

go to boatpartstore.com click on trouble shooting then the johnson/evinrude has some test that you an do. make sure is in neutral has safety switch, that acts just like kill switch.

ok will try that. there`s a few test there that i havent tried yet. thanks for the help. i`ll post after test test are done. thanks again!
