Is there a water repellent spray that can be applied to a poly/cotton boat cover to help keep water out?

I've seen products like 303 Fabric Guard and Kiwi Camp Dry that I believe are recommended for canvas / cotton-canvas covers. Can these same products be used on a poly/cotton cover as well? Any other products suggested?

Many thanks,
Marty

Yes, but these spray cans are very expensive.
Your best and cheapest solution is Thompson's water Seal, the same stuff you use on a wood deck.
Brush or roll a couple coats on, and you are good to go.

Thopmson's is a liquified wax in a carrier solution.
It is carried into the fabric threads.

yes, I use a product by coating technologies. It is a cross-linking polymer system that bonds with the fabric. You can even add a dye to the mixture that will bring the color of the fabric back.

I would not waist the money trying to waterproff. Instead save your money and buy a good cover like sunbrella.
