There are a ton of links/plans out there. If you go to boatbuildingonline.com and click on "links" it will bring up a dozen links. Plus a lot of people there have built boats from plywood already and have lots of great tips One actual makes boat plans.

I've also been working on this 14' flatbottom. It took 5 sheets so far. I still have to build the benches and a casting deck inside. Then fiberglass inside and out. It's suppose to hold up to a 35 HP motor.

Kevin, on the boat in your first entry, do you think i could soup up the transom a bit to fit something a little bigger than a 2 horse motor on it if not thank you for your help anyway.

Oh yeah, You can make it one and 1/2" thick and add a few extra layers of glass and it should hold up to a 35 HP. Just make sure that the transom glass wraps around the boat at least 2 feet. And make sure you encapsulate the ENTIRE boat with glass. Some people say that epoxy is better, but a glass boat is alot cheaper and, if done right, will give you 20 years of maintenance-free boating....(at least the boat itself, anyway)

Here is a picture of that transom I was talking about. It's a solid 1 1/2" thick. I left the small gap between the two pieces so that it could be filled with fiberglass resin putty. I've seen folks hang a 90 HP off of far less.

This one was built with three pieces of plywood. The bottom has fibre glass with epoxy.

That is a Glen-L design TNT. If I were to build another I would shorten the transom and modified the hull with a vee.

Kevin. How much will your boat weigh upon completion?
