Hi

I have DT35 Suzuki DT3.5 outboard which until last week ran fine.

Last week I was having carb problem with the carb flooding.
carb stripped and cleaned the carb which seemed to fixed the problem for a
couple of outings.

The last outing the engine ran fine.
The next time I came to use the engine carb would not start.

I have checked the carb and blew it with compressed air and everything seems
fine.
I have a spark and compression.
carb I do not seem to have any petrol reaching the ok plug.
The carb bowl is filling with petrol and the petrol pump is ok.

any idea what to try next~?

Suzuki carbs are very sensitive, it seems like you didnt' clean it properly enough, you need to soak it in carb cleaner for 24 hrs and then blow with compressed air, also consider a rebuild kit ......

With the carb removed should I feel some form of suction if I cover the intake with my hand.
I don't feel any!

Thanks for the link but they do not appear to do a kit for my model of engine

When the engine is running and you rev it up there should be a bit of suction yes, I can't get the brownspoint website to work today to check for you for that kit, but I am sure you can also find it at a suzuki dealer, if they don't have they can order for you ....

No you need to check all the fuel lines to make sure there is no leaks, did you check that you have a good spark?

There are no leaks and the spark is good.
I have also replace the plug with a new one just to be sure

mmmmm ..... the only other thing i can seriously think of is your reed valves and proper ventilation at the tank?

The tank is venting ok. I have tried starting it with the cap removed just to make sure. I have removed the reed valve and all seems well with it.

I'm stuck on what to do next
